Summary: This study evaluates measurement errors in forensic photogrammetry using different types of supporting media. A simulated scene with a rifle and motorcycle was 3D scanned and analyzed using various camera configurations. Results show that 3D scans significantly improve accuracy, with single and multiple stationary camera views producing similar, low errors. Stationary cameras outperformed moving cameras. Overall, combining 3D scans with stationary imagery yields the most reliable and forensically admissible measurements.
